IN WONDER
Eyes gaze into mindless space
Where all things are possible
Creating conveyer belts
built on Moonbeams
For the elite to escape
The inevitable holocaust
Of broken dreams
and particles expanding
In the explosion of nothingness
Fried like the carcass of a worm
who failed to make it back
To his moist environment
Laying lifeless on hot concrete
and nobody cared
Yet in Wonder I notice that
still the birds chirp
the bees bumble and buzz
While a warm breeze
cascades my cheek
A white Butterfly so softly in flight
moves from dandelion to daisy
There in the distance
the sound of someone whistling a tune
Nearer by the gentle pitter patter
Of my puppies pads
Tread the place beside where I lay
Once a cremation site for Earthworms
Moving inward on the inhale
I breathe in the Love
Letting go on the exhale
I release the tragedy.
